Antique brooch dating to the Edwardian Period.
Unmarked but tested on wings, safety pin as 10K yellow gold. The stones test as colored glass. Colors are rich citrine and green moss tourmaline. Lovely rendering with filigree wings, legs and blue glass eyes. Safety clasp closure with safety pin. Pin can be removed and you can thread a chain under the pin stem and wear as a pendant.
Condition is good-please note there are three areas of roughness to the green glass facets. If the light catches them right you notice close up. Most of my pieces show wear as they are over 100 years old. This piece is wearable and a rather larger example of insect jewelry.
