Girl Meets old European cut diamonds and the rest is history………
I grew up in a family that cared for their family heirlooms and hunted treasures at flea markets and auctions.
With such an upbringing it was no surprise after college I took a job as a manager in an antique store in Ellicott City, MD. It was during this time my eyes were opened to my true passion-- jewelry. I learned about gemstones, metals, dating pieces and how to buy and sell.
Even though I left the antique store and moved into adulthood with an office job I still bought and sold on the side and assisted people downsizing. As the years passed I wound up consulting with multiple auction houses and it lead me to train to become an appraiser. I have obtained the highest credentials, a Certified Appraiser, from the International Society of Appraisers. I also obtained my GIA Graduate Diamonds designation.
2008 we started selling on Etsy.
November of 2022, We opened a storefront in Taneytown, MD.
June 2023, I hosted the 11th season of the Chesapeake Collectibles show as the jewelry expert.
October 2023, the storefront expanded and moved to 48 E. Baltimore Street, Taneytown, MD 21787.
