14K White Gold Princess Cut Diamond Half Carat Ring with Diamond Set Gallery
A vintage white gold ring featuring an approx. .5 ct princess cut diamond.
The setting is not marked but the ring has been tested as 14K white gold. The ring features an approx. 5.05 mm wide princess cut diamond, .50 ct set in four prongs. The diamond is near colorless and I clarity. Under loupe there is a whitish inclusion. I also put this ring under microscope and would assume that there was some treatment as its not uncommon for diamonds to be drilled or filled to enhance the clarity. On the finger it is a lively diamond and you don't see any dark spots. I am a GIA diamond grader and I'm being overly descriptive but I like people knowing what they are buying. On the finger it is a beautiful piece.
The setting is substantial and the gallery is filled with round brilliant cut diamonds bead set. The main diamond sits up off the finger 3/8". Jeweler has polished the piece so it looks like the day it was made. The back of the shank is thick and measures 1.96 mm tall.
Currently it is a sz 7.25 but sizing service is available.
