1930-1940 18K White Gold Filigree Ring Set with a .25 ct Old European Cut Diamond

$650.00

A vintage 18K white gold filigree ring dating to the Art Deco period. The ring is stamped 18K and tested.

The slightly domed ring features a .25 old European cut diamond (you can see by eye the cut culet), the color is near colorless, slight inclusions. I am a GIA diamond graduate and utilized my microscope to check it out. The diamond has chunky/wide facets - to me it almost dates earlier than the setting- perhaps closer the the turn of the 20th century. If you are looking for that old diamond look this is going to fit your wish! The diamond is sunk set in multiple prongs-looks almost like a pie edge. The frame is hexagonal. The darts on the shoulders are set with round cut diamonds approx. 1 mm diameter each. The gallery is lovely filigree work. There is partial engraving on the shank.

The ring sits up off the front of the finger approx. 6 mm. Currently a size 4.25 but message me if you need a sizing estimate-jeweler can size to fit.

Condition is very good for a Art Deco piece. Under microscope the stones are not showing any damage. This ring is going to make someone very happy!!
