Vintage Sterling Silver Victorian Inspired English Buckle Bracelet by Joseph Smith & Sons c1968 English

$185.00

One of my favorite style bracelets-a buckle!

This is an English handmade piece by Joseph Smith and Sons, 1968. Fully hallmarked inside. Sterling silver in a Victorian revival style -just like they made them in the 1880-1890's. The bangle has a buckle motif on the front with an incised floral design. The back is smooth polished. The clasp shuts tightly and holds, hinge is tight. Safety chain functioning.

3/8" tall and will fit up to a 7" wrist. 16.2 grams

Condition is very good for a piece nearly 63 years old. Please note that my photographs are showing a lot of reflection. The front looks excellent. The back side near the hinge has a tiny pin prick size slight dent and two light dents. See last photo-the bright highlighted area is the largest slight indent. On the wrist you would never know-but I am trying to be as descriptive as I can. Inside the mark is from when the maker added the buckle component.

Overall a beautiful example of a Revival Victorian buckle bracelet-made as though it was from the 1880's.
