Vintage 1960-1970 One of Kind 14K Yellow Gold Garnet Ring

$595.00

I love the stories that come along with estate jewelry. This piece began its life as a brooch and the family said that it was later converted to a ring. c1960-1970

The shank is marked 14k and the top and shank were verified as 14k yellow gold. The front features two oval shaped garnets measuring approx. 7.6 x 5.2 mm set by multiple prongs. Pease note if the light catches it you will see a slight chip to a garnet facet. Under the loupe there is some facet wear but that is not see by eye. Around the garnets is scroll work and two round brilliant cut diamonds set by four prongs each. Open work gallery that sits up off the finger 5/16". The front is 1" wide. A bold cocktail style ring.

I lightly hand polished but kept some patina on it as I think it adds some depth but a jeweler could polish it brighter.

The shank is slightly out of round but I held off reshaping thinking that it will need to be resized in the end. Currently it is a size 8.75 but message me if you need sizing service and I can get you a quote.

Condition is good -please note the wear to the garnets and the slightly misshapen shank as mentioned above. Overall it is a unique, fun bold heavy gold piece that no one else will have.
