Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Lorgnette On a Sterling Silver Watch Chain with Dog Clip
A Victorian sterling silver lorgnette featuring repousse floral motif with ribbons. Both sides are the same with monogram panel hand engraved with a B. The button pushes in but you need to help the glasses out-they flip open but to go all the way to the top you have to help it along. Sometimes they stay at the top but they need some work and adjustment to hold at the top. You fold the glasses and then they click back in. Please note one edge has a slight bend. Only seen if looking at it from the side. Inside it has the star cut out--possibly Kerr. It is stamped sterling on the edge. Overall except what is noted above it is very wearable and beautiful.
With an antique sterling silver 48" watch chain with dog clip. Stamped sterling in clip. Easy to remove the lorgnette and use the chain with other pieces.
