A beautiful deep red wine colored pyrope garnet ring. The setting is 14K yellow gold and stamped 585 inside the shank. The gold content was verified.
The center oval cut garnet is 12 x 10 mm (approx 4.5-6.5 cts), has a smaller table and the cut mimics the older gemstone cuts of the early 1900's. Eight prongs secure the center garnet. There are round cut garnets prong set set down in a halo around the center stone. The front measures 3/4" x 5/8", It is a two tier setting. The back side is lovely and finished with decorative cut outs.
Well made, heavy and the type of ring that will last a few lifetimes with care.
