Vintage 18K Yellow Gold Custom Designed Natural Emerald and Diamond Ring

Vintage 18K yellow gold ring featuring a emerald cut emerald measuring approx. 7.5 x 7.4 x 4.5 mm, approx. 1.79 cts, set by four prongs. The emerald is very slighly bluish green, strong saturation, medium tone, type III.

As you can see from the pictures this emerald is a gorgeous color and jardin. Jardin (French for "garden") refers to the, mossy, or veiny network of natural inclusions, fractures, and mineral deposits found inside an emerald. Rather than acting as flaws, these unique, internal characteristics are celebrated as proof of a genuine, natural stone, adding distinct character and charm to each gem.

Surrounded the emerald are 16 round brilliant cut diamonds, H color, VS2 clarity. Approx. .95 ctw. The diamonds are set in white gold prongs.

The front of the ring measures 5/8" north south, 5/8" east west. Stamped 18K and verified. The shank is strong and 2.84 mm wide.

Comes with an older appraisal dated back to 2000. On this appraisal it does state Columbiann emerald-based on the types of inclusion and the intensity of the color I don't disagree.

This is preowned ring but overall it is in very good condition. Very sturdy well made ring. There is a tiny nick on the girdle up on the upper facet. In my photographs I've tried to show it but it is very hard to see. Under magification it can be seen. Doesn't effect the wearability and not unusual for an emerald.
