Vintage 18K Yellow Gold Art Nouveau Inspired Prasiolite, Diamond and Citrine Necklace

Love this piece!!

I was able to see the original paperwork and it was bought in early 2000 with a replacement value of $7,000. This piece is heavy in the hand yet delicate looking but still a statement piece.

The piece is 18K yellow gold (stamped on tag on chain and verified). The pendant is a contemporary take on the Art Nouveau period. The center gemstone is a green amethyst -prasiolite- in a medium light slightly bluish green hue. The color is gorgeous!! The gemstone has a checkerboard marquis cut and measures 15/16" length x 3/8" wide. The prasiolite is set by two prongs on each end.

Around the center stone is a frame of brilliant cut round natural diamonds-estimating total weight of all diamonds on the pendant and chain to be approx. .67 ctw. At the top are dramatic diamond set scrolls with two briolette citrine dangles measuring approx. 6 mm length. At the very bottom is an addition briolette.

The bale is diamond set and the chain is connected to it by tiny jump rings at each side at the top. The chain is doubled and has two gold diamond rondelles. The length is adjustable from -16" - 18" length. Larger lobster clasp makes putting it on and offer easier.
