Massive Weiss Mid Century Japanned Black Stone Branch Brooch

C 1950 Not your typical mid century brooch. Made by Weiss (makers mark on back) in the mid century this brooch is quite large measuring 3” in length and highly decorative. Black faceted glass mimic the victorian era’s French jet. The glass is prong set. Note the wire work around the edges of the leaves. There are rectangle cut black glass prong set on the stem. It’s dramatic and high end looking. It’s like holding a piece of art in your hand. 1.75 inches wide. Excellent condition. Layaway available.
