Authentic 1920s Sterling Silver Compact Necklace – Art Deco Era

An exquisite original 1920s sterling silver powder compact, beautifully crafted during the glamorous Art Deco era. The round case features intricate hand-engraved floral scrollwork with a classic monogram-style center cartouche, interior has a gold gilt. Compact is 2" diameter.  In very good condition-hinge is tight, clicks shut.  

The sterling silver compact opens to reveal its interior compartment fitted with a mirror suspended from a delicate silver alloy mix chain with an elegant drop detail, it wears as a striking statement necklace while preserving its historic charm. The compact connect to the chain by a dogclip so it is easy to remove and wear the chain with other pendants. Chain length around neck is 24" the chain drop is 5"
