Antique 1840 14K Yellow Gold Snake Topped Watch Fob with Agate Carved Bottom

c1840 Early Victorian watch fob featuring a wrapped snake at the top creating a loop to slip a chain or dog clip through. The base is fluted with a ball motif top. Bottom is set with an agate hand engraved Philippians, 1st Chapter, 3rd Verse, " I thank my Gold in all my remembrance of you". A sentimental or mourning piece. 5/8" length x 1/2" width x 3/4" height. Condition if very good. 5.1 grams
