A Victorian Braided Hair Watch Chain with 10K Rose Gold Locket

c1880 Braided hair watch chain with gold filled end caps, t bar, dog clip and slide set with garnet and glass pearl. From the slide hangs a 10k rose gold locket (I have tested the lip of the interior locket a few times by stone/acid and it does hold at 10K. Locket measures 1 1/8" top to bottom and 5/8" wide. It opens easily and snaps shut. Inside has two photo areas with frames and glass. Front decorated with three leaves on a slightly green or yellow gold textured background. Slight simple to back side. Overally the piece is in very good condition the dog clip has darkened and shows the most wear. Length of watch chain 16" Layaway available. Excellent example of sentimental / mourning jewelry
