A Mid-Century 14K Yellow Gold Oval Blue Topaz and Diamond Ring

Vintage-1950's. 

A bold ring in 14K yellow gold (stamped in shank and tested) features an oval intense blue topaz measuring approx. 12.15 x 9.89 mm, around 6 cts, secured by 4 prongs.  The shoulders are set with 6 round cut diamonds, each set by three prongs.  

Viewed by a GIA gemologist with microscope the ring is in very good preowned condition.  Only under zoomed view were facet junctions shown to have some typical wear. There is also a tiny chip under the gridle again only seen by zoom view. 

This ring has a beautiful color-photographs are not quite catching it -its what today we call a London blue topaz hue.  

A true vintage ring ready to be worn and enjoyed.
