A finely made mid century brooch in 14K yellow gold. Is is marked 14k and tested as 14k. There are maker's mark on the back but I can't figure out the symbol.
The brooch features a brutalistic thistle with sprays of ribbon and leaves. There are three medium blue sapphire measuring approx. 2.90, 3.27, and 2.99 mm. There are also six round briliant cut natural diamonds measuring approx. 2.60, 2.50 and 3.09 mm. G-H color, VS2 clarity. All gemstones secured by prongs.
2.5" length x 2" wide.
Clasp in good working order.
In very good condition-under magnification one sapphire has a surface chip -not noticable.
