The color!! What a dramatic and interesting necklace dating to the 1930's. This piece is rhodium plated so the finish will be bright and shiney for many more years to come. I am always amazed at how they used rhodium plating in the 1920-1930's to create costume jewelry that truly mimic gold pieces. This piece looks as good as the day it was made-even even being close to 100 years old. The faceted glass mimics rich teal/green tourmaline. Each glass is securely bezel set in a saw tooth mounting. The center glass is surrounded by pearls on wire. There is green and red enameling. Highly decorative filigree links. Gorgeous!! The drop is 1.75" long and the pendant is slightly over .75" wide. Originally it was 14" long and meant to be worn close the the nape of the neck. It has a newer extension chain on it to be now 16.75" length. I can remove the extension if you would like. Again its a beauty I've never offered or seen such a lovely green art deco necklace. Layaway available.
